Kwee Ing Tjiong

(b 1938 , Temanggung, Central Java)
He received his formal education at the SMA (Senior High School) but did not graduate. He got painting courses from S. Sudjojono In Jakarta since 1969 and they often practiced outside together. He had also painted together with Affandi, Sudarsoand Widayat. He took his subject from his environment: his family, the farmers and the landscapes. He had ones an exhibition together with his teacher Sudjojono at BalaiBudaya Jakarta In 1975 and a solo exhibition in Jakarta In 2006.
